Hello Everyone!
So about a week a new cable was ran from the server room to a new office. I did not run this cable but I did punch it down into the patch panel and the wall plate connector. I tested it and it was a good connection. Few days later we get a call saying the computer cannot connect to the internet and server. So they replaced the patch cords and plugged it into a different port on the switch and it fixed the issue for a few hours and then again it lost connection. I had to go back and I put a new wall plate connector and punched it down in the patch panel again. The test was good; I also tested the patch cords and they were good too. Not sure if something is going on with the switch, but theres about 12 ports already in use and everything works fine. The computer also worked perfectly fine in another office few days ago. This is a small business. It has a netgear switch. Its just plug and play. So theres nothing to be configured on the switch.
