Hey there-
I have an outdoor D-Link DCS 7110 IP camera mounted up on a roof that, for some reason, has decided to no longer communicate on the network. It's connected to an HP Procurve 2520 POE switch, which shows that the camera is powered on, and the switch port shows packets going in and out. But I can no longer ping its IP (manually set), or reach it via a browser. I tried hooking it up directly to my laptop through a spare POE injector, but had no joy that way either. I also scanned the subnet to see if it perhaps lost its config and reverted to DHCP... nope.
I think I know where this is going.. but as someone who's not great with heights, I'm hoping against hope that this thing isn't completely dead (the port traffic gives me a sliver of hope) and that there's something I can do to regain access to it remotely.
Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance. In the meantime, I'll start looking for a ladder..
