Hi All,
I have next to zero experience in working with fiber cabling. I have two suites at opposite ends of a hallway that are connected by fiber. Both suites have a 3Com Superstack 3300 switch with, I think, SC connectors. The switches are run into a fiber panel with, I think, ST connectors. I recently purchase new GBICs for my Cisco SG300-52 switches in the hopes of getting rid of the old 3Com switches, but it doesn't look like the same connector. I believe the GBICs are LC connectors? So now I'm under the assumption that I need ST to LC cables to run from the fiber panel to the new GBICs. Can anyone confirm this for me? Pics attached. Thanks!
