I can't leave work till I get our $$%&%$* domain controller back online. My workstation can ping our default gateway, but the domain controller can't. I have tried:
- power cycling the router (it is not the culprit)
- power cycling the switch
- new patch cable and different switch port
- Using NIC2 and disabling NIC1 (which it was using before). Then replicated static IP, DNS, etc to NIC2.
- resetting TCP/IP stack
What else can I try?? Please help so I can go home!!!
EDIT: You may ask how I am even online: good question, I can get online by manually setting DNS to Google's public server 8.8.8.8 on my workstation. Hence, router is fine. Something is wrong with the DC something in the chain that connects the DC to the router.
