I have a Dell OptiPlex 9010 that keeps losing network connection mostly if pc has been idle for over 5 minutes. But has done it while user is idle for only a minute. User experiencing problem, uses the machine to remote login to other machines on LAN and a web based ASP application.
We use static IP's on all workstations/ servers here.
Have run Dell Diagnostics on all hardware and no known hardware issues found on network card or any other device. Machine was under warranty and Dell replaced the motherboard as it has an onboard NIC that I thought was causing the issue. However since then am still getting network drops.
There is no wake on LAN power settings enabled and the PC power settings are set to NEVER turn off.
User was connecting to network via the network pc port on a ShoreTel phone, but have plugged directly to LAN wall port also and get network drops either way. I have other machines with same configuration/model etc. that do not have this issue any ideas?
