Hello
I set up two 3560's with two vlans 1 (data) 20 (voice) the uplink between them allows vlan20 across the trunk. However the only way my phone get an IP from DHCP is when they are connected to the switch that is dire. connected to our router/DHCP server.
As soon as I move the phones to the switch at the far end of the trunk I get nothing. I can ping both ways across the trunk (to the switches) I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Anyone else have this issue?
Update: From the switch at the far end of the trunk I can ping a the switch that is dir connected to the router/DHCP server and a phone that is connected to the dir. connected switch. What is weird is I can't ping the router/DHCP server.
I then tested and I can ping from the switch that is dir. connected to the router/DHCP server to the router/DHCP server.
