I haven't done something like this for awhile so please forgive me if this sounds like a newby issue.
I have a computer that connects via wifi to our office network. This network has internet and our NAS server.
I have set-up a DIR-655 Dlink router in our lab that connects to our lab equipment. The intent is for this router to also connect to the computer so that the computer can access internet/NAS via the wifi and lab equipment (which we want on its own network) via ethernet.
It does not seem to work. The second I plug in the ethernet to the PC, it loses the ability to load web pages. Both wifi and ethernet connections show as active, and the wifi connection shows that it is still getting an internet connection, yet browsers fail to load pages.I can access the NAS with no problem so I am very confused.
Any ideas? Could this be happening because we have a managed services router and a setting on their end is blocking the computer from being able to do this?
