Hi,
I have a flat network, which with new networking equipment I recently purchased, I can grow in devices and VLAN's. But there is a problem. My LAN IP subnet range is an actual routable IP address owned by a ISP. This can cause problems from time to time. I've had my private IP address show up when doing speed tests and etc. Plus the potential security risk to it being owned by some ISP. I have a primary server with AD, DNS, DHCP, Domain Controller server running Windows Server 2003. Plus I have a backup DNS server on Win2003 too. I want to move all my pc's, devices, servers, off that address and onto something like 10.10.10.0 subnet. How would I go about redoing all this? It seems like a lot of work as there is literally about 200 devices connected to the network. After I do this, I plan on upgrading my DNS, etc to 08.
Oh and the IT Manager's response as to why it was sitting on this funky routable address was "its always been like that".
