Have a user that connects remotely using Global VPN from Sonicwall. They are running Windows 8, (Can't upgrade to 8.1 as we have software not yet compatible with 8.1) and Telus Internet via Actiontec V1000H with firmware 31.30L.57.
When they try to connect to the server, it won't connect. You can Ping the IP, Ping the Server name all with no problem from the computer.
When you login to the Actiontec and try a ping, neither works from there. There doesn't seem to be any sort of option for allowing particular ports through, other then setting up port forwarding to the computer.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to make this work?
Also with that, they connect up to the server to access an Access Database. It is ridiculously slow. Any ideas on how to make this faster? Down the road a few months ish, we will be changing to SQL, but until then, need to hopefully make this better.
