computer sign in software

I have an interesting dilemma. We are a multi-office company and one of the applications we use, precludes us from using virtual machines so we have set up a "computer farm" with RDP connections so that users outside of our main office can use the application. Licensing and the database make it necessary that the computers be based out of this office, the software will not work over the WAN.

This can cause some confusion as these computers are not dedicated and we have had issues where people have tried to log in to the same machine when more users attempt to log in than machines available. Also, one of the applications requires that we use the same username and this can cause two people to be logged into the same machine with negative results.

What I am looking for is some kind of software that provides a sort of check out feature so that if anyone is trying to log in, they can check this software, whether on the network or online, and determine which machine is available for use, how long someone has been on it(some people disconnect rather than log off) and who is using the machine. Any suggestions or help would be very appreciated. Something that worked with the AD would be fantastic.
