I work for a small town utility company. We have a central office and 4 remote plants/warehouses. Two of the buildings are roughly three miles from the central office (same direction, but not close to each other). The other two are roughly one mile from the central office (again, same direction but not next to each other).
We're currently connected via VPN, but our WAN connections are unreliable and our options to replace them are limited. I'm pondering having a professional run fiber to connect us, but have little experience in this area. I'd appreciate anybody who could lend some wisdom about the practicality of this plan...
