I have an HP v1910-24G that I need to put a GBIC in for a fiber connection to another building ~220M away from it. The building that the fiber ends at will also probably have a HP v1910-16G switch. The electrician terminated the fiber with SC, not a big deal. I see that there are LC to SC patch cables that will fix this for me, but what I need to know is which of the LC GBIC cards is the right one to purchase? Here is link to the HP accessories for these switches, http:/
I know that the fiber is Corning 6MM62.5µm fastaccess. I looked on Cornings website and it can handle 850nm and 1300nm wavelengths.
So would any of the GBIC's be a better choice than another? Your help is appreciated!
