Two football fields - a network bridge mission unlikely.

Some Background

I work for a city government of about 25,000 residents. When we incorporated we took possession of some county parks as well and a historic lodge located on a lake. While our telcom in our city leaves a lot to be desired, the lodge itself is wired and has some on site servers which connect up to city hall.

The Situation

Our problem is it's that time of the year again, when the parks maintenance staff uses their "ranger station" a building about 120 yards from the lodge to handle their increased work load in maintaining the park for all the spring and summer activities. This building currently has a prior to my or my supervisors tenure an 802.11b network bridge, the connection of which in a high non public accessed window can be disrupted by someone closing the blinds. To call the bridge temperamental is being generous.

However this is not the biggest challenge we're trying to overcome, about 210 yards away from the lodge in a direction about 40 degrees off the "ranger station" is a lake side building that holds the concession stand, lifeguard station and their computer for doing timesheets. There is direct line of sight through the trees behind this building but the path is not 100% clear and the ground is at a significant grade downward toward the lake.

Trying to come into improved compliance with state labor law, (that is to say, complete and flawless) it would be REALLY useful for this building to be connected to our domain managed network at the lodge. Point of sale connectivity for the concession stand would be an added bonus but not absolutely required in this case; the time sheets need to make it back to our file server for records retention. (If there is such thing as a swear word specific to government workers, it is probably records retention)

Bottom Line:What is the most cost effective way to get network connectivity bridged to a location over two football fields away?

I am aware of some possible solutions like "micro trenching" and enterprise quality outdoor network bridges that run anywhere from $500-$3000 but I need to know where to begin.
