So I will be creating VLAN's on our network to hopefully help alleviate some slowdown and to further my understanding of IT best practices. I will be working with 2 HP 1810 48 port switches and 1 Cisco SLM2048. I will create atleast 7 different vlans that will seperate the following: servers, printers, wi-fi (employee), wi-fi (guest), MACS, Office and Production. Any advice for that would be great, I'm pretty sure that the process is pretty straight forward but being a beginner it can't help to ask the advice of more experienced individuals.
Also I was wondering if it would be a good idea to create a trunk line for our servers, maybe even two for the one's with dual nics to create a backup connection?
