I am getting excessive broadcasts alerts on different ports on this hp 2510-g24 switch, but I am also getting them on other HP switches.
This particular switch is in a classroom and is connected by fiber to our core switch. No users are complaining about slowness or anything else ,but I keep getting these alerts on different ports everyday. I had the switch on medium sensitivity and its no set to low sensitivity but I keep getting the same alerts .In the core switch there are no alerts at all.
When I open the events, it explains that there might be a topology loop or malfunctioning nics or applications. However, the alerts keep changing ports so I do not think t might be a malfunctioning nic. And the network does not appear to be slow or degradaded, so I do not know whether to ignore the alerts.
