Advice on VLANs - Switch & SonicWALL

Hi all,

Let me say first off I'm really not a networking guy but I do have some familiarity. Here's my scenario and my question:

My current environment has three unmanaged 24 port Netgear switches connected to a TZ210 SonicWALL. The SonicWALL is configured with the VLANs as the switches are unmanaged.

I am replacing the Netgear switches with a pair of Dell 5548P switches. I understand that without further configuration, all of the ports on the switch will by default be assigned to VLAN 1 correct? I also am under the impression this is a security risk (not 100% sure why though).

My question is this: Since my SonicWALL is handling VLAN support, and I believe will continue to do so, is there any additional VLAN configuration I should be doing on the 5548s or is it ok to just leave them as they are?

Also, and this is really icing on the cake, if there's any configuration the would generally be done in my situation feel free to mention the subject in general or post links - I'm happy to spend my own time reading and researching instead of asking folks to write whole posts telling me exactly how to do something.

Thanks in advance for any help guys (and girls) - much appreciated!
