I have Win 7 Professional with XP Mode installed. I need to FTP from a program that I can only use in XP mode. When I request this program to fetch data from my provider it connects ok, prepares the data to send but when it comes to “receiving” it just hangs. I suspect it has something to do with a port being blocked on my computer however my knowledge is limited to try and solve this problem. To connect to the internet I use a wireless USB modem and I have tried setting my network adapter from NAT mode to Bridged mode but still the same problem. I run Nortons firewall however when I disable this it still doesnt work (windows firewall is turned off).
