I'm looking at all kinds of options that would allow us to provision basic IT services to some remote offices which currently have nothing but a bunch of individual laptops.
One option is to buy a cheap Azure/AWS instance and run something like Hamachi on the server and clients to provide a cheap simple mesh network regardless of location - they could map drives and use offline files etc.
Seems a little too good to be true though - anyone done it and if so did it bite you?
