Hey guys --
This is my first time building a network and I need some help, especially in the wireless and fiber arenas.
Our church is building a new building on our current plot of land. It will house our new auditorium (1000 seats), a large lobby, a wing of 6 children's classrooms, and two or three small rooms (cry room, etc.).
We currently have a network infrastructure in our old building comprised of Dell PowerConnect switches, a SonicWall TZ210, and 3 SonicPoints. I'm hoping to send a fiber line from our main Dell switch to our main switch in the new building. Question #1: Will I just be able to run a standard fiber cable (http:/
I've been looking at the HP ProCurve V1910 switches because of their cost and the fact that they're gig switches. (1 48, 2 24's, and 1 24POE for our phone system.)
As far as wireless goes, I've been recommended HP MSM's by multiple people. However, I have zero idea where to start. I know I'm going to need about 8 access points, but [Question 3] what else do I need as far as a controller or anything else goes?
Thanks in advance for the help :)
