I've got a intel x520-1 in my desktop for a potential 10Gb connection to my network. Currently I only have a 1Gb module installed because I do not have a 10Gb port available on my switch at this time. I plan to in the future replace the switch and upgrade to a 10Gb connection.
The problem I am having is I am getting a code 10. This was not always the case, it was working at one time but now it is not.
I have a dual boot system and run Linux primarily and in Linux it works just fine, so I know it works.
I was running Windows 10 but thought it was a Windows 10 issue because no matter what I did I could not get the NIc to work. I tried reinstalling the driver to version 29, rolled it back to version 25, network repairs, ect. I can not get the code 10 to go away.
The intel PROSet Adapter Configuration Utility says that the NIC is disabled.
