I work for a non-profit (read small budget) in Orlando. Our ISP connection normally runs at 25%, however, when just one person downloads a file (any file) our ISP connection maxes out to the point that our remote users see lag, connection drops, etc. Oh, and we have an RV Park for volunteers to stay in during our volunteer season, with guest wireless services (separate VLAN of course), just to complicate it that much more. So I need a way (non-profit friendly) to shape the traffic, guaranteeing 75% of our bandwidth for business purposes, while limiting other traffic to varying levels. Dell wants to rip out our firewall and replace it with a Sonicwall device. Juniper wants to upgrade our existing firewall, replace our VPN, and all sorts of stuff. Neither option is budget friendly.
Any suggestions? BTW, 20x20 fiber connection to a Juniper SSG5.
