Good morning from chilly South Africa.....
So I have two colleagues in the same section of the office with the same issue. When they plug in their LAN cables or attempt to connect to the wifi, the connections are refused or simply don't happen (the network remains unidentified indefinitely) and the troubleshooter gives me the following...
Wifi: Problem with the access point, switch off router or switch for at least ten seconds after all the lights have died and then attempt to connect again. Doesn't work....
LAN: IP address not correctly reconfigured. We work work with roaming IP addresses and we have tried switching them onto a range of static IP addresses.... Still no connection....
Here's what I've done: Reset every router, switch in sight with the exception of the main switch for that section, no luck. Tried re-configuring the IP addresses, switching between static and roaming IP addresses, disabling the NIC's and re-enabling them, windows troubleshooter, ipconfig /release renew..... Nothing is happening and the connection for both laptops are still not restored....
Ive considered taking them off the domain and putting them back on again, but I'm hesitant to do that because they might not be able to connect to the domain again because the issue APPEARS to be network related (no network, no connection to server).
Can anyone give me some advice on where I went wrong, what I have missed and how I can solve this? Cause I'm stumped.....
