Hello,
We have an issue with our WYSE terminal thin clients having IP conflicts. The terminals are set up as DHCP, and are now on a lease of 2 days (before it was 6 hours). A few times a week, one of the terminals gives an IP conflict issue, and the user is unable to function on the terminal.
What we usually do to solve the issue is to exclude that IP address on our DHCP server, and have them restart the terminal. Everything is hinky-dory afterwards. At least for a few days when another terminal does the exact same thing...
The funny thing is, we exclude the IP address and then have them restart the machine, and then ping the old address to see what it was conflicting with...and the ping times out. So there was nothing there conflicting. So...why was the terminal saying it was conflicting?
We have 25 or so excluded IP addresses that was the result of this, and we pinged them all with all of them returning time outs. Any ideas?
