I have a bit of a dilemma here. I am trying to connect multiple devices over a single vlan to a server in another building (building A. ) I attached a image of the layout as i am not the best to explain things. All switches on the chain are unmanaged also.
At each end i have ip based cameras and they connect into network switches. My network switches then connect into SM Mode Fiber converter and then into another converter.
On one side i have: cisco switch A - to - Fiber Converter A - Fiber Converter B - Cisco Switch B.
On this leg i can see devices connected to Cisco Switch A from Cisco Switch B but cannot access them or ping them.
On the other Side i have: Cisco switch D - Fiber Converter F- Fiber Converter E - Cisco Switch C to Fiber converter D - Fiber Converter C to Cisco Switch B
On this leg i can ping the devices plugged into Cisco Switch D from Cisco Switch C but not from Cisco Switch B.
All fiber converters have Fiber Link and TCP Link, but i am confused on why 2 runs off fiber have fiber link but cannot access the devices over the link.
Any thoughts would help.
