All,
I'm just thinking aloud and was hoping for some feedback. I have 2 branch offices (3 workstations each) that are connected via a site to site VPN. They are on cable connections while my HQ has a dedicated fiber internet connection. The site to site VPN is mostly utilized right now with folder redirection (branch users have their folders on my file server at HQ) and for access to an internal line of business app.
I'm wondering if it would be worth it to send my branch internet traffic through HQ. Reason being, I plan on putting in a web filtering appliance, so this way I could ensure all my users are filtered.
I'm thinking I would need to gather some statistics and make sure my HQ connection can support this. Can anyone offer me some practical steps in gathering this data and what I should look for to make sure my HQ connection can support this? Thanks.
