I'm Tech Support for my company and we have a large Win 7 machine that basically is just storage for our weekly user data backups. It has four different shares on it and daily now I have to restart it because it becomes inaccessible from our client computers. Pinging works, it has a static IP address, I can access it using a remote connection from my computer, and the permissions are set so that everyone can access it so that the backups work. The problem is that when I try to access it using Windows or Network Explorer and double click it's icon on the network, it says that either my permissions are wrong or it isn't on the network. What am I missing?
