Incoming IP and bandwidth monitoring.

I am researching on behalf of a medium size backup company with 12 servers. Weekly we have thousands of customers connecting to our data centre and uploading their data. However we now need to know how much of our bandwidth each customer utilises at any given time. The data of incoming IP’s and Bandwidth then needs to be plotted on a graph or a table. Some facts are below.

1) The company gets uplaoded a total of around 10GB of data a night

2) A night is from 5pm to 7am

3) This data is separated between around 700 clients backing up onto our servers per night.

4) The clients are members of the public. We cannot install any probes or software other than our agreed backup software.

To get the incoming bandwidth broken down, what hardware would be need? Also what software is recommended?

I have a diagram of our network layout if it is needed. We are thinking of using sFlow connected to a PTRG server. However upon further research it seems that sFlow isn't powerful enough to collect our nightly bandwidth. (Please note that the sFlow switch 1 and the PTRG server / software has not yet been purchased. The diagram was aimed at PTRG support.)

Thanks you sincerely in advance

Jacob
