I am considering setting up a Server 2008 R2 box with RRAS as my VPN gateway that will be connecting to various firewalls (Cisco, SonicWall, etc..) on the other end of each tunnel. These tunnels will be more like a point to point connection meaning my one or two servers can only communicate with one or two servers at each client site. Of course none of the client sites should be able to communicate to the other client sites.
My question to the Spiceworks community is: Has anyone ever done this RRAS to hardware VPN connection? If so, what were the specs on the tunnel (IKE Preshared, Main Mode, 3DES, MD5, etc..) And was the connection stable?
