Is it possible to exclude ports 515 and 9100 from my network scans. I used spiceworks a couple of years ago, and I dont think it was an option then. Other posts that I've come across state that you can avoid scanning protocols, but not specific ports. Are there any options or config files that I can adjust?
Problem: Our core software package send calls ports 515 and 9100 on the local machine to customer information. A spearate program (the receipt program) recognizes when data hits that port and a new window pops up with the customers information on the receipt. During a network scan, erroneous data gets sent to those ports and causes some issues until I remote in to delete the bogus receipts. It happens just about every hour, so its becoming quite a handful....
