dd-wrt -Fubar do not know ip address of AP

I was experimenting with a USR5451 and DD-Wrt. I now know the reset button does not work! I configured the 5451 to connect to an open network named WAP1 and created a client bridge or repeater bridge (not sure which). Then I created a Virtual interface (dd-wrt_vap), selected AP isolation, and bridged.

1. Now I can't connect to the DD-WRT interface because I either do not know the IP and or isolated myself from it.

The AP is operational and connects to WAP1, and allows me to connect to dd-wrt_vap and browse the internet. I just can't into the AP web interface to reconfigure it.

2. I installed the software on another 5451. Maybe I'm missing something but is appears the only way I can access the web config page is to connect to the device over wireless then open the defaut 192.168.1.1. I thought I should be able to connect to the 5451 via Cat 5 as long as I used the correct IP range.

I have tried to capture an address via Wireshark, NMAP, etc. - no help.

So there are two questions.

1. How do I access this thing, or is it really FUBAR!

2. Is there a way to connect to the 5451 via Cat 5, it only has 1 interface it's an AP not a router.

Any ideas?
