Dell 6024 Switch

I have acquired a Dell Powerconnect 6024 Switch, I have logged into it using the CLI interface, & also with the OOB port. My question is, I am going to use this for my home network, are there anything I need to do to set this up? I have comcast and my connection is coming int to my cable modem then to a Linksys Wired router (as a firewall) then to the 6024. I think a 3-layer switch is a bit too much for my home but the price was cheap.
