This is a pretty strange issue I've been having for the past few months. Here is a screen shot: http://imgur.com/0RarHEI. I used F5 to constantly refresh the graph. I've also confirmed this using 3rd party software but never took screen shots.
Without getting into too much detail, my organization has a very robust network (I'm not in the networking department) and we have been having DNS related issues for the past year, but this doesn't seem to cause the issue (some of the machines affected had healthy DNS records, some did not).
- IPv6 is disabled, dynamic IPs are assigned
- Subnets do not seem to affect the problem
- Confirmed on multiples systems (Lenovo and Dell using different system images)
- File that is being copied is a 3GB .ISO from an EMC Celerra on the same LAN
- Another building does *not* have the problem and transfers steadily around 85%-100% activity (100Mbs).
- Many other buildings I've tested have had this same issue, sometimes to a lesser or greater extent.
If you need more details let me know. Unfortunately, our networking department is pretty poor at diagnosing these kinds of issues and I don't have access to the switches and routers. Any help is appreciated.
