Gigabit Netgear Switich ports not using gigabit throughput

I have 2 Gigabit GS748TS Netgear switches as our main switches in both of our buildings connected via fiber, which for the most part are used to connect to users computers, the issue I am having, which is happening on both switches, but more so on 1 of them is that we have upgraded systems that have gigabit cards but the switch is registering it as only 10/100, even if I force the port to use 10/1000, and I am not sure what is going one, because there are some that were working before, and now will only transmit 10/100.

I looked at server logs as well as all of the pc system properties and all of the systems register the connections as gigabit, but for some reason the switch doesn't seem to be working correctly.

Does anyone have any feedback, or has anyone had this happen to them?

I personally dislike netgear switches for commercial settings, I am more of a Cisco/Linksys & HP geared type of person, since I tend to feel they are more reliable and more intuitive. So I am hoping these are kind of on their last legs so I can replace them with the linksys switches that we used before, which died, so they got these since they were cheaper, before my time.

I also was hoping these might be on their last leg so that I can standardize most of our equipment since it is a mix of 4 different vendors (HP, Nortel, Netgear and Linksys) which why, or how that happened is very puzzling to me, but thats a whole other story.

So anyways if anyone has any feedback I would really appreciate it.
