Hi, I recently made a career change into the IT world and I'm still learning the basics in some areas. I've been fixing computers for friends and family for the past year. I'm now running a small business from home. Since I'm more hands on with hardware my questions may seem basic. With that said, please help me figure out the following:
Ok, from what I understand, Static IP will help your computer to connect without hesitation. DHCP, will first identify the computers on the network, see their IPs and give you another IP.
One of my customers needs help with setting up a home network and I need to know what's the best option between hard coded IP address or DHCP?
