I was doing some routine monitoring of our network this morning and noticed that our ping rate was running at a slower pace than normal. We ususally average <1ms-2ms but we are now in the 80's. I ran wireshark and noticed my server is sending an arp requests for IP addresses that are in use by my DHCP server. The IP's can't be pinged and they are not leased at all. I'm almost positive this is the reason the traffic slower, because I'd say around 70% of the captured data is the arp being broadcasted across the network. Any ideas?
