So my company is going to be moving over to a IP based phone system and fax server solution so we are looking at upgrading our WAN connectivity. Currently we have Comcast Broadband (17x3) at each site with Site-2-Site VPN's between each of 4 sites. Works good enough for now.
With new phone system, we are looking at bandwidth requirements of 3Mb at each remote site and >4.5Mb at our main location.
Standard proposal is a pair of T1's at the 3 remote sites with 10Mb fiber at our main location since its already in the building...
Then XO comes along and suggests Ethernet over Serial (EoS) which seems to be nothing more then Ethernet over T1's.
Its a bit more expensive then the T1's and Fiber. I know most say to stay away from T1's but I haven't read anything about EoS so I'm not sure if its worth the extra money??
Anyone know anything about EoS?
