New VLAN for guest network
(I inherited this network btw) Cisco Router is already setup I guess as default with vlan1 as outside address, vlan2 as inside address. Inside server provides dhcp/dns to workstations etc.
(*I do have the security+ lic for the cisco asa5505)
I don't know the CLI, so i'm using the ASDM for config changes in Cisco router.
I'm using this as example of setup: Cisco-created new interface on port4 as vlan10 and named it "guest" also set it as a trunk. IP address of 192.168.10.1/24, set DHCP/DNS on cisco for client addressing. Set dynamic NAT route to outside address for internet access.
The powerconnect is setup basically as outofthebox but with vlan10 group added, then port 2 is set as trunk for connecting to the router.
I need to be able to connect some wireless AP's to any port of the switch and be able to access the main network and the "guest" network (the AP's can be configured to handle a vlanid)
The dell power connect 5448 is giving me the worst headache. Also because I need to communicate with the AP's through the main (inside) network for the private side addressing, I have to DMZ off the public/vlan10 "guest" network which pulls it's separate IP settings from the router.
I hope I tried to clarify as much as possible, I need to get this resolved ASAP please!! It's been giving me a headache for a few days now :/
