In trying to solve a complex software issue across the network, I've come across some repeated network traffic in Wireshark.
This traffic pattern involves the clients querying the server about the network drives specifically. They simply query each drive in succession and then repeat over and over and over again seemingly as fast as they can.
I'm attaching a picture of the relevant portion of the log. When you dig into those packets you can see the folder requested is the network drive itself.
My question is, is this normal network traffic? Or does it indicate an issue with SMB or the shares?
Who has an equally sized network (roughly 10 to 20 computer range) and the other network does not have this repeating pattern of traffic although it does check rarely and get a similar error.
