This question probably gets asked a lot, and I've Googled it a few times with little to no avail. So, my question is, are there any free VPN services worth using? My primary use for this will be connecting my laptop to my desktop at home. As my desktop has 1.75TB of storage, and my laptop has... well less, it would mostly just be for throwing files to my desktop and grabbing them back later, maybe on occasion remote connecting into it just to maybe start a defrag or a steam download. Currently my router is running DD-WRT so, I know there are some VPN settings on there, but my lack of knowledge kind of leaves me stuck.
TL;DR
Are there any good free VPNs for file sharing and remote connecting, or could I use my DD-WRT flashed router to do it myself?
