How do I set up 2 separate network connections w/ internet access priority to:

Hey guys,

I can use your help!  I've been out of the IT game a while, and am helping a friend set up a small network at his office.

    Here's the problem:

He has Win 7, 1 network adapter that ties into his local network for file and print sharing AND he plugs in a VERIZON broadband dongle for his internet access.

He also has internet access on NIC #1, receiving all IP settings from DHCP from the router.. but  He has to disable his NIC#1 in order to utilize the Verizon adapter for his high speed internet.

Long story short, he is constantly enabling and re-enabling them, only having one adapter working at a time depending on which he needs.  When he has them both turned on, Windows 7 defaults to NIC#1 for internet instead of going through the Verizon broadband USB adapter...

    NIC#1 is on a 192.168.1. network

Verizon USB adapter is a completely different network, and changes often..

Is there any way these two adapters can work together harmoniously while only using the Verizon LTE broadband adapter for internet ONLY??

Any help is greatly appreciated.. Thanks guys!  :)
