Hi,
Excuse me for being fairly new to IT and being thrown into the deepend as such sometimes, I've got a situation where I have a company that all access a program that is based at one of the branches, recently changed the branch the DB was held at the largest branch which wasn't a problem all working.
Since changing the VPN links - traffic between the Site with the DB and another site is sending enormous ammounts of traffic compared to the link between the DB site and the other two branches.
Having ran Syslogs on the routers there is huge amounts of QoS Drop Outband Packet of Wan1
Now am I right in thinking QoS relates to VOIP? How can I track where these packets are coming from as the traffic is huge compared to the other sites, once I drop the link between the two sites everything is fine, like I've said I've rebuilt the links a few times and the drop of packets is causing all the sites accessing the DB to run slowly.
There was a SIP phone system introduced at the same time as the move, I've been in touch with the phone provider who has assured me that the phones run on a separate default gateway with each branch having a second broadband connection installed. The branch with the DB and the branch having the issue with traffic have both had the system installed so far and I know it looks like it should point to that but I've been out myself and checked the phones are on the right gateway.
Any help would be grateful, apologies if anything I've written doesn't sound clear.
