Spiceworks Network Scan Possible Duplicate

I just ran my first network scan and am working on resolving the scan errors. I ran into an interesting issue. A unknown network device, labeled "valt0005" is showing as offline. I can ping by IP, but not name. NS Lookup states that the DNS can't find "valt0005". The network scan reveals that "valt0005" is connected to port F7 on our HP ProCurve Switch. I walked to the server room and discovered that a NetGear Switch is connected to F7, but the serial number on the NetGear is different than the serial number being reported by SpiceWorks. I took the IP of "valt0005" and verified with our DHCP that an employee's iPhone is currently using the IP that is being shown by Spiceworks for "valt0005" and that the machine is not even being leased an address from our DHCP. I need some assistance figuring out what may have happened.
